The vision of CERLIP is “To create an enlightened awareness about the unexplored aspects of human search for freedom and social upliftment as evident in India's freedom struggle.”

Mission

To realise this vision by facilitating research on fundamental socio-political, historical and culture issues related with the Life and Works of the Sardar.
To design and implement the academic programmes leading to Ph.D. degrees in various disciplines.
To support and facilitate research projects undertaken by Research Fellows from India and abroad.
To create a body of knowledge in the form of printed resources as well as audio-visual and digital resources.
To undertake research in the form of comparative studies focusing on the contribution of major figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Pt Nehru, Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar etc in relation to the Life and Works of the Sardar.

History, Political Science and Sociology are subjects through which contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his thoughts can be researched, developed and added to the present body of academic knowledge. The course will enable the learners to identify and critically evaluate the contributions of major Historians, Political scientists and Sociologists.
